The latest episode of Catfish was boring to me. If I want to see a romance, I will seek one out. No one watches Catfish to see real romance blossom. Maybe some do, but most watch for the fuckery of seeing a liar who is using someone else's pictures get caught out lol.

LOL! Well I haven't watched this weeks episode yet. It aired yesterday in America and came out for download today. So I am going to go off and watch it now. I will report back lol. Hopefully it is some fuckery and not real romance.

What I never understand is the people who Catfish their own friends. Like, what exactly are they getting out of doing this? I saw one episode where some girl catfished her best friend and she wasn't even, like, in love with her or interested in dating her. Well, what was the point then?!

She did so because she saw that her friend was going down the wrong path, and wanted her friend to settle down and get a straight head on before something bad happened to her. I remember. The friend was sorry and stuff but she did it for a good reason. Her plan had worked for a small amount of time before everything came out.

Oh, really? That doesn't sound like the one I watched. It might have been though, since I wasn't paying much attention, lmao. Well, at least she was well intentioned. sort of.

I am sure that it is the one that you watched - where the one girl ended up being behind the man that was supposedly talking to her wild child friend? She also used her cousin to talk to the person who was getting catfished.

If that is the episode that you are talking about, their friendship still suffered in the end. They were the absolute best of friends and were taking things slowly after everything came out,

Was it really necessary for the friend and her cousin to do sexting with the catfishee, though? I still don't believe that the cousin didn't enjoy the sexting because he could have found a way out of it.

It's a huge invasion of privacy and it's also messed up that the cousin and friend accepted her marriage proposal. I still think there was a little more to it than saving her from the wrong path. What they did was weird and sadistic.

A large part of the fun of catfish is the schadenfreude of watching the catfisher unmasked and all hell breaking loose. I agree that the episodes where everything works out are kind of boring.

Anybody who says that they are watching Catfish in the hopes that they may see true romance is lying to you ad themselves lol. We all tune in to see the fuckery go down, and we love it!!!!

I agree that it is more entertaining to see the fakes being caught in a lie but since the majority of the episodes end up that way I think its fun when the person ends up actually being real. I don't necessarily want to see a romance but I think it is pretty cool when Nev is totally confident that the person is a fake and they end up being real.

I enjoy seeing a liar getting caught, but I think it's nice to see a happy ending from time to time, in my opinion that's a nice change.  That doesn't mean I want to see every single story to have a happy ending, because then it would be quite boring and predictable, lol.  Not like isn't predictable already, because most of the time a liar gets caught, this is why a happy ending from time to time does the trick for me ;)

Not afraid to admit that happy endings make me smile    It's nice when someone turns out to be who they really are and not a fake!  Dunno why I feel that way, but it's a fact I do, I go all like 'Yaaaaaaaay!!!!! ''.

Btw, I also watch this for Nev... he is such a hottie and such a nice host!

Well there are always the exceptions lol. Like the poster above hehehe. I don't care for the romantic episodes of Catfish where everything works out for the best. I haven't spoken to many other people who care for them either. We watch for the fuckery lol.

Did anyone see the episode where Nev threw that guy's phone into the water? Man, that had me laughing so hard! If I were Nev, I would have done that a long time ago!

It's laziness but also fear. Once you become attached to a photo, you want it to be true. So bad, that finding out the real truth is scary. So you succumb to the fantasy. It works that way with online porn too. Lots of these pinup girls do not run their own websites, or are hired models. So the guys who frequent these sites, are in love with someone who isn't even really talking to them in their blogs, and such.

This. There was an episode where the guy actually got a confession from a fat girl that she was the one texting him, and he told her that he didn't want to know because he didn't want to get the image of the beautiful girl from Facebook out of his mind. The chick basically confessed and he shut her up because she was ruining his fantasy. Even Nev was confused about why he bothered to call the show if he already knew.

The fuckery is exciting too, lol.  I mean, why else would I watch ''Cheaters'' :P  Kinda sadistic if you ask me, but in that TV show we all know these people are cheating, but we don't know how it will turn out.  Sigh, sadly I no longer have access to that channel :(  But yeah, I really like that TV show some episodes were shocking!  Some of Catfish episodes were shocking too, but it's nice when things tunr out well, I enjoy the drama as well tho, if it was all nice stories the TV sho would be hella boring!

Am I the only one who thinks that Nev is totally lying about going out with chicks? He was a ballet dancer and he is very femme. Why is he always filming himself in bed or walking around in his underwear while Max is in the room? Do bros do this or am I reading into this a little too much?

I appreciate the occasional romance that works out on Catfish.  But it's more entertaining to see fakers get caught.  I don't understand why they agree to appear on the show, though.  Sometimes I wonder if a few of these stories are fake.

I haven't seen Bow Wow's video response, but I did hear that they used this whole Catfish situation as promotion of sorts, for the show that Bow Wow now works on. Apparently it is really the only show that brings ratings in for the network, or so I hear. I have never been fond of Bow Wow. I thought that he looked like an alien when he was a little boy, and I don't think that much has improved since he has grown up. I cannot believe that so many people find that man attractive. Strange.

Well, he's been famous since he was a child so that probably made him grow up with an over I
Well even in his personal video, he was very full of himself. I mean self confidence is one thing but he just takes it too far.
Well he's been famous since he was a child so that probably made him grow up with an overinflated view of himself. For a lot of child stars, that ends badly as soon as they grow up and people don't find them cute anymore.

Well, some people can't pass up a chance to be on TV , even for a negative reason. Also, I think they pay them.

He is supposed to have a girlfriend and has been seen with her, but you never know... I mean, before I even knew he had a film I did think he was gay.  I really thought so, and I thought the same about his friend Max... but him?  I was so sure he was gay!  His mannerisms made me think that... He could be bi. By the way... about the mannerisms... I have a cousin who is gay and several friends who are gay, so I know what I'm talking about.

Lol!! Doing ballet does not mean you are gay if you are a man lol. This is why gender roles are so dangerous!!! Nev is a human being before he is a man, and he is going to have a spectrum of interests. Ballet happened to be one of them. As someone who hangs around with a lot of gay men, I can't say that Nev is all that femme. He has a nice balance. He just comes across as a nice guy. Not feminine, in my opinion.
